Ralph Beckett
Favourites Racing are proud to add Ralph Beckett as our newest recruit to the impressive trainer portfolio. Ralph is already a Classic and Breeders Cup winning trainer with Look Here and Muhannak. This remarkable double feat was achieved in only his second season at his new base, Whitsbury Manor in Hampshire.On leaving school Ralph went to Australia and worked for legendary trainers Bart Cummings and Colin Hayes, before returning to the UK to learn more from Jimmy Fitzgerald.
A spell in Ireland followed with yet another legend in Arthur Moore. On returning to the UK he had a short spell with Martin Pipe before being offered the post as assistant trainer to none other than Derby winning trainer Peter Walwyn. Upon Mr Walwyn's retirement Ralph was very fortunate to take over the licence at Windsor House in Lambourn.
In 2006 Ralph was invited by Chris Harper to relocate to his impressive private estate in Whitsbury, Hampshire recently vacated by David Elsworth and he jumped at the opportunity.
I am confident Ralph and his very good team at Whitsbury will be off the mark for us at the earliest opportunity.
