Plane Painter was bought as a yearling at Goffs Million Sale in September 2005. By the Group 1 winning sire Orpen out of a four times winning dam Flight Sequence (Polar Falcon).

 

He is a very straightforward horse who is tough, honest and genuine.  Plane Painter has won two races and been placed eleven times out of the 20 races he contested, on the flat, when trained by Mark Johnston.

 

Plane Painter has run two very solid races in Handicap Hurdles, since stepping up in distance. He seems to require 3miles now as a minimum.

 

Plane Painter seems to be making a successful transition to Chasing with fine placed efforts at Hexham and Exeter.
