Suntini (GER)
A dark bay gelding, by the German Champion Sire and
Group 1 winner Platini (winner of 9 races and over £750,000 in prize
money). The Dam, Sunita, won five races herself; this is her third foal
and the first two are both winners. This horse breezed particularly well
at the sales at Cheltenham in December, covering the tacky ground in
seemingly effortless fashion, and attracted plenty of interest at the
auction. Emma Lavelle describes him as "a most lovely individual who
seems to want to please."
Last season after winning on his seasonal debut at Exeter Suntini continued to run well and was placed in all his remaining handicaps during the season. This year Suntini has once again won on his seasonal debut winning convincingly a handicap chase over 2m in the mud. This lightly raced son of Platini continues to have a progressive profile which has resulted in his second victory of the season with a sensational victory over Tataniano at Newbury.
