| 21-07-2010 Rafella springs 33/1 shock at Lingfield! |
| In her three previous runs she had been left coming away from the stalls. Instead of progressing from run to run and learning from the experience, she appeared to be regressive.
However, with thanks to all involved at Ralph Beckett's professionally run yard, and with help and presuassion fron Gary Witherford, Rafella at last got away on terns with the field. There were a couple of big priced yearlings in the field. Rafella travelled beautifully and turning in to the home straight under a positive yet sympathic ride from Jim Crowley she drew away, and the winning margin was three quarters of a length. Rafella won with her ears pricked suggesting there may be more to come! It was a lovely ride from Jim Crowley and a welcome winning birthday present.
It was a good day too for her owners who had never lost faith in Rafella although we were beginning to get a little anxious. Jim Crowley reported Rafella to have loved the ground but also felt she was still very green, and that was her fourth race. She is undoubtedly a very slow learner! |

 | 21-05-2010 |
| At the recent Cheltenham National Hunt Sale run by Brightwells, Favourites Racing were fortunate to secure two exciting young National Hunt prospects for the coming season. Both are winners of Point to Points and one a Bumper winner as well!
My Boy Paddy was the first of our purchases he is a six year old son of the Sadler's Wells stallion Accordion. My Boy Paddy seems a very tough, hardy and honest horse, who appears to travel well throughout his races. He seems quite versatile regarding race distance as well.
Winning his Point to Point by three lengths in emphatic style over three miles My Boy Paddy then stepped back in trip to run a very promising second beaten seven lengths by the highly regarded and expensive First Lieutenant (Gigginstown Stud). He travelled very well throughout over two miles two furlongs and led into the straight, although beaten seven lengths by the winner, he was eleven lengths clear of the third horse. He then went on to win his Bumper over two and half miles.
My Boy Paddy will be trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies who is Favourites Racing newest addition to our portfolio of trainers.
Three lots later The Crafty Cuckoo stepped into the ring to be knocked down to us. He is a lovely beautifully made athletic five year old son of Saddler's Hall. On his Point to Point debut he was second to Folkestone Bumper winner Bens Moor. On his next racecourse appearance The Crafty Cuckoo beat a good field over three miles by two and a half lengths. This horse looks to have a very bright future on the National Hunt scene and will be trained by Emma Lavelle who was very keen to train him on our behalf.
One times 25% share is all that remains for sale in The Crafty Cuckoo whilst we still have 3 x 25% shares available in My Boy Paddy. Please call for details or to arrange to view. |

 | 10-05-2010 Bob is 'Back' in the winners enclosure at Aintree. |
| Mostly Bob ran out a convincing winner under a penalty at Aintree. This gelded son of Bob Back did not jump or travel as well as we know he can but Richard Johnson never gave up on him. Having been vigoursly ridden from the end of the back straight, Mostly Bob took command and jumped the last hurdle upsides in front going away to win impressively by five lengths.
Both Richard Johnson and Philip Hobbs were very impressed with Mostly Bob's willingness and attitude. Due to his lack of experience he can only improve again and we all think there is much more to come from Mostly Bob in the future.

 | 04-05-2010 Just Rob romped to victory at Goodwood |
| Just Rob was settled in second place for the first eleven furlongs of this competitive fourteen furlong handicap, on the opening day of Goodwood's 2010 Flat Season.
Martin shook up Just Rob with half a mile to run and he readily went three lengths clear of his rivals inside the last three furlongs. Although Just Rob only had one length to spare at the line it was a very comfortable success. This was Just Rob's first flat success for his enthusiastic owners, because he was primarily bought as a Nastional Hunt horse but we are finding opportunities very scarce. Therefore we will try to find another race once he has been re assessed but clearly staying and honesty are his forte.

 | 19-04-2010 Mostly Bob wins with consummate ease at Uttoxeter |
| Matt Griffiths, Philip's amateur jockey, settled Mostly Bob for most of the first circuit but found himself always travelling well. He took much closer order towards the end of the back straight before taking up the running at the third last to literally run away from the field.
At the line Mostly Bob had put sixteen lengths between himself and the runner up without so much as coming off the bridle. This was extremely encouraging for the lightly raced son of Bob Back and we will look to add to this win very shortly.
Mostly Bob has proved to be well over his injury and if he continues to progress at this current rate he is quickly becoming a very exciting prospect. |
