Iolith (GER)
Favourites Racing has recently purchased, to go hurdling, a winning son of the top class Group 1 winning German stallion Monsun. Monsun needs no introduction, he has sired the winners of almost 1000 races, his best progeny include Getaway, Stacelita, Manduro, Schiaporelli and Shirocco.The five year old colt Iolith who never ran as a two year old won two races for Andre Fabre before transferring to Germany. Here he won a minor contest and then went on to be placed in Listed and Group 3 company finishing a very creditable 2nd on both occasions. From 11 career starts he won 3 races and was placed 4 times. He is a well grown colt full of quality and from a late maturing family.
He is now in the care of Barbury Castle trainer Alan King who is thrilled to have him in his high class team for the coming seasons. Alan has already started schooling him and both he and "Choc "Thornton are delighted with his progress.
