This bay gelding is by the Sadler's Wells stallion Saddler's Hall who is responsible for numerous high class National Hunt winners, including Silver Patriarch.His dam Curracloe Star was placed over fences and herself was the winner of three Point to Points. She has produced five winners from six runners to date.
This gelding is a lovely scopey individual with a fantastic jump and temperament. He won his Point to Point by eleven lengths on only his second racecourse appearance, beating eighteen other rivals, he had finished runner up on his debut. The Crafty Cuckoo will be trained by Emma Lavelle, near Andover, who is very much looking forward to his arrival.
