Meet the Team

The Favourites Racing team are dedicated to race horse care and work superbly together to achieve a winning formula which is seen regularly on the race course.

Who we are

David Dennis 

Favourites Racing is currently managed by former NH jockey David Dennis.

David was a professional jockey for 10 years riding over 240 winners.  Growing up within a racing family has added to David’s wealth of knowledge and has a real passion for horse racing. A true horseman David uses his experience and understanding of the industry to achieve the ultimate results.

David joined the Favourites Racing team in April 2011 and runs the pre training yard at Foxpits in Worcestershire. Here he does all the foundation work for Favourites Racing’s horses and has run some young horses in point to point to help with their education.

William Worthington 

William is currently yard manager for Favourites Racing and started working at the yard since march 2012.

William began working in racing when he was just 13, following in his fathers footsteps. At the age of 16 William became amateur jockey where he rode on the flat and over jumps.

William became conditional at the age of 17, where he went onto to have over 200 rides for many trainers. William has great experience and understanding of the industry.

 

Lewis Pratley 

Lewis Pratley joined Favourites Racing in October 2011.  Lewis has been around horses all his life and studied at Warwickshire College for two years obtaining an Extended National Diploma Level 3 in horse management, NPTC level 2 Health and Safety round Horses certificate, BHS Riding and Road safety qualifications.

 

 

 

Sophie Jones

Sophie Jones joined the Favourites Racing team in October 2011. Sophie has experience in handling, schooling, exercising and the general day to day care of horses.  After leaving school Sophie attended Morton Morrel College to study an equine course. After completing this successfully she began full time employment in the equine industry.

She has competed in most equine disciplines from dressage to cross country but find has a passion for racing.

 

 Rachel Barnett

Rachel has experience in handling, schooling, exercising and the general day to day care of horses. After leaving school Rachel attended the British Racing School in Newmarket, where she successfully completed the course.

Rachel then went onto to work for Ian Williams for 6 years, where she gained valuable experience in working with the racehorse.

Rachel has worked here at favourites racing since October 2011 and is a valued member of the team.
